LaTribuna Christian Publishing Reports On Totally Preventable Medical Mistakes In American Hospitals

LaTribuna Christian Publishing’s CEO Chaplain Paul Vescio is quoted saying:

“There are over 4,00,000 preventable deaths per year, that’s over 1,100 per day with over 10,000 injuries each day in this country because of totally preventable medical mistakes in American hospitals alone. These numbers do not include nursing homes, care centers or medical rehabs. If we factor these places into the equation the numbers of deaths due to totally preventable medical mistakes is staggering. These numbers could be as high as six or seven hundred thousand per year.”

Chaplain Paul was also quoted saying, “The need to educate the public on how the infection spreads is the key to lowering these numbers. Something as simple as washing hands often when in a hospital setting or care center and not visiting or coming to work in these places if you have the flu or even a cold. Being sick with the flu or even a cold could be fatal in places where people with respiratory illnesses or people with low immune systems are being treated.”

Chaplain Paul was also quoted saying, “Our elected officials have got to step up and begin addressing this important health care crisis. Call your elected officials and demand real action now, because after all it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when we or someone we love is in a hospital or nursing home bed. I ask all of you, why should our elected officials have better healthcare than the people they serve?”
