Ashlee Vitz is a teacher, actor, and writer from Indiana. She was adopted as an infant and many years later discovered she was of Aztec descent. This news inspired her to write about another adopted Hooser girl, along with a healthy dose of fantasy!

Ashlee enjoys her midwestern home with her husband and daughter. In her summers, she delights in performing with Crossroads Repertory Theatre on the campus of Indiana State University.
