If a drug the customer is prescribed is not on the Formulary, they can request an exception, pay out-of-pocket for the medication, or file an appeal to see if the plan will cover it. Formularies differ from plan to plan, so before choosing a Prescription Drug Plan, ensure that the medications are included in the Formulary.
