However, one mom and her two daughters have stepped in to develop tangible tools to help children of all ages tap into mindful meditation in a fun and relatable way. Introducing Omi & Friendz®, the purpose-driven collection of interactive stuffed toys to introduce guided meditation, breathing exercises, emotional regulation, and positive thinking.
The first and only collection of its kind, Omi & Friendz® was created by Kavita Saggar and her two daughters Gia and Bela, who recognized the desperate need for mindfulness resources among their generation. Living through the digital renaissance, this current generation has been brought up with constant stimulation without the reminder to STOP, BREATHE, and RESET. To help their peers, they developed Omi the Elephant®, the first friend in the Mindful Buddiez collection to seamlessly come alongside children, and walk them through guided exercises that introduce mindful breathing, emotional regulation skills, and a positive mindset.
Created to be fun and relatable, Omi the Elephant® acts as a peer rather than an authoritative figure to empower children to practice mindfulness with vulnerability and an open mind. Omi helps each child begin to understand their dynamic emotions and how to self-regulate their thoughts and feelings. Each friend in the collection follows the STOP, BREATHE, and RESET method, disrupting society’s overstimulated status quo to usher in a new era of mindful and emotionally intelligent children.
