Unknown to many people worldwide, it is possible to avoid and prevent Alzheimer’s. For decades the broad consensus on Alzheimer’s was that nothing could be done. However, Dr. Dale Bredesen is challenging this. Dr. Bredesen, an internationally recognized researcher into neurodegenerative diseases, is the Chief Science Officer (CSO) of Apollo Health and a professor at UCLA.  His books and research have helped people beat the disease and save the vibrance of their minds.

In a two-part interview on the Cutting Edge Health: Preventing Cognitive Decline podcast, Dr. Bredesen shared his decades-long research findings.

Jane Rogers, producer and host of the podcast, describes her own journey. “My father died from Alzheimer’s.  My mother is in memory care now with it.  I started to show early Alzheimer’s signs in my mid-50’s, the same age as my father.”  But, says Rogers, “after listening to a podcast with Dr. Bredesen, and reading his books, I was able to reverse it and regain my mind.  This podcast is my effort to give back.” Rogers restored her memory using the same Bredesen protocol of a recent clinical trial which showed an 84% success rate in regaining cognition, whereas most other trials fail or only stabilize the cognitive decline.

Neurodegenerative diseases can be a sensitive issue that people prefer to keep to themselves. However, individuals are learning how to keep their minds vibrant through podcasts like Cutting Edge Health and doctors like Dr. Dale Bredesen. “We’re learning that together we can often significantly change the health trajectory of our lives.”

Other podcast guests speaking to this topic include Dr. Nate Bergman with Kemper Cognitive Wellness in Cleveland, Dr. Christine Schaffner of Immanence Health in Seattle and Dr. Dayan Goodenow author of ‘Breaking Alzheimer’s: A 15 year Crusade to Expose the Cause and Deliver the Cure.’

Speaking to guest experts on how to optimize their health to keep their memory, Cutting Edge Health is offering a platform for people to beat the disease of aging and for experts to educate the public on available technologies. “Our guest experts on the Cutting Edge Health: Preventing Cognitive Decline podcast will share tons of tips so you can avoid and reverse cognitive decline in yourself and help those you love save their memories, too,” says Rogers.
