Award-Winning Sales Expert Heidi Solomon-Orlick Breaks the Bias with New Book on International Women’s Day

Chandler, AZ – March 7th, 2022 – Award-winning BMcTALKS Press and award-winning sales expert Heidi Solomon-Orlick join the worldwide International Women’s Day celebration this year under the theme “Break the Bias” with the release of their highly anticipated book Heels to Deals: How Women are Dominating in Business-to-Business Sales.

This first-of-its-kind project is a compilation of stories shared by dozens of successful, diverse female sales professionals who are leading the charge around the globe, breaking the bias in the sales industry, and shattering the glass ceiling as professionals in the field of business-to-business sales.

Over the weekend, a Heels to Deals book signing event took place at More Than Words Warehouse Bookstore located at 242 East Berkeley St. in Boston, MA. Participants had the opportunity to meet and mingle with the co-authors and contributors who are committed to inspiring the next generation of female sales leaders.

Globally, International Women’s Day (IWD) 2022 is shining a light on gender equity with its #BreakTheBias campaign.

“There is significant inequity in business-to-business sales today that needs to be addressed.  We need to work collectively to overcome hiring bias; assure pay equity; and position sales as a viable career option for diverse women who are seeking financial independence, career flexibility, and long-term professional success,” says Heidi Solomon-Orlick, Founder and CEO of GirlzWhoSell.

Eugene Shim, Vice President of Sales for Bryter and a sponsor of the Boston event, says, “It is incredibly important as a part of our company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to open the doors and to encourage more women to enter the field of technology sales. It is not only the right thing to do, but it is good for business.”

Additional event sponsors include LeadIQ, Fathom, Drift, Women Sales Pros, Sales Hacker, Outreach.io, GirlzWhoSell, RevGenius, Sales Feed (Media Sponsor) and The DORS Group.

In addition to meeting Heidi Solomon-Orlick and the publisher, Bridgett McGowen-Hawkins, attendees of this successful book signing event were also able to meet and share ideas with several of the book’s contributors including Precious Williams, Stella Ikhnana, Shawanda Roberts, Lori Dunn, Shruti Kapoor, Toni Portmann, Sandy Zhen, Vicki Gurney, Jen Ferguson, Amelia Taylor, Jennifer Ives, Meshell Baker, Anita Nielsen, Chantel George, Janice B Gordon, and Ginnette Baker.

“This International Women’s Day, we reflect on the critical contributions women make in the sales industry around the world, and we recommit ourselves to addressing the discrimination and barriers to show younger women that sales is a career alternative that they should consider,” says Solomon-Orlick
