HK Express Selects Kambr’s Revenue Management Platform Eddy to Aid in Its Business Transformation

Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) HK Express has signed a multi-year agreement to leverage Eddy, Kambr’s revenue management platform, to streamline its RM workflow and bring greater data sophistication and efficiency to its commercial operations.

Kambr Provides Necessary Versatility & Speed

The adoption of Kambr’s software is the latest initiative in the carrier’s process of embracing and implementing new and innovative technology and processes to enable the transformation of key business functions.

“As a low-cost carrier with big ambitions, we need to move quickly and adapt to the market, especially in today’s environment, so we won’t be bogged down by rigid tools and legacy processes. We believe in the three key fundamentals of efficiency, agility and simplicity,” said Melody Keung, Deputy Director Commercial of HK Express.

“We selected Kambr’s Eddy software because of its versatility, ability to work with other systems and data, and it’s automation capability.”

HK Express becomes the latest airline to sign with Kambr after the announcement of the Navitaire-Kambr partnership, which deepens the integration of Kambr’s revenue management system with Navitaire’s New Skies platform.

The flexibility and modular approach to Eddy allows HK Express to directly integrate the tools and data sources the airline is already using, enabling real-time streaming of valuable flight and revenue information.

HK Express Positioned for Growth in the Greater Bay Area and APAC

HK Express were quick to realize that the revenue management and offer management landscape has been changing amidst the pandemic, as LCCs shift their RM approach to adopt solutions that offer greater automation and the ability to incorporate new data sources, allowing for growth in areas such as ancillary revenue.

Amid increasing competition in the Greater Bay Areas (GBA), a key objective for the airline to advance its digital and data proposition is made possible with the open architecture of Eddy.

‘Kambr’s technology will be essential in helping us expand revenue opportunities, stay lean, build customer centricity and advance our digital and data capabilities,” said Keung.

“By strengthening our LCC DNA we can achieve our mission to deliver affordable and seamless point-to-point air travel services and pioneer new unique routes to people between GBA and Asia.”

Allowing customer insights and intent data to help drive revenue opportunities is a focus for the airline, which will enable HK Express to meet its mission to be the leading best practice LCC in Asia.

“Linking up with a digitally innovative and ambitious airline such as HK Express demonstrates our product capabilities, strength of our partnerships and most of all, the ability, work ethic and vision of our team,” said Jason Kelly, CEO and co-founder, Kambr.

“Our partnership with HK Express highlights our commitment to the APAC region. We’re thrilled to be working with such a carrier and look forward to growing together and partnering to advance their technological capabilities in aid of their overall business transformation.”
