Dr. Tashina Reeder has built her life with purpose and drawn strength from her past experiences with relationships, health struggles, and various challenges. She has survived a lot of things, including shame from her previous marriage, domestic violence, cancer, and HIV. These experiences have inspired her commitment to helping women heal from their life wounds, stand in their truth, and revel in their extraordinary abilities. With a Doctorate in Couples and Family Therapy, she combines her personal journey of healing and transparency to liberate other women suffering in silence daily. She is known as “The Transparent Educator,” who uses her clinical training as a therapist and her life experiences to uplift women suffering in silence due to feelings of shame, self-doubt, inadequacy, and fear of judgment. She teaches women scalable ways to grow in confidence, redefine their identity, and overcome obstacles to create a life of love, abundance, and success.
Dr. Reeder and her brand thrive on the belief that anyone can speak life into others’ lives as a collective inspiring motivation to embrace new perspectives towards change. She put that philosophy to the test in her new life-changing book, Manifesting Her! 7 Strategies to Redefine Your Identity After Trauma, Build Big Confidence, and Cultivate Self-Love. In the book, she explores growth, awareness, and healing so that people can equip themselves with the tools they need to meet future challenges.
For her human development and empowerment work, Dr. Reeder received a Trailblazer Award from Dr. Sonja Stribling on March 4, 2022, for her growing coaching business for women. On March 6, 2022, Herpreneur Magazine recognized Dr. Reeder as one of the top 100 influential women in business during their magazine pre-launch. She also graced the front cover of Tap-In Magazine as one of the women featured in “Women Shaping the World” to celebrate Women’s History Month. All these recognitions have kept her motivated to help women create a world where they can thrive, succeed, and lead healthy lives.
Beyond her work as a coach, Dr. Reeder is a licensed social worker with certifications in Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy and Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model (TREM) groups for women and young ladies. She works at a Federally Qualified Health Center as the Director of Community Health Training Alliance, where she creates, collaborates, teaches, and organizes educational events and professional development training on public health topics.
As an educator, Dr. Reeder has presented at various conferences locally and abroad and provides professional development training on the principles of trauma-informed care practices to nonprofit organizations. In line with her purpose and mission, she has been teaching trauma-recovery and confidence-building workshops throughout the City of Philadelphia. Dr. Reeder published a self-love calendar, created a Beautiful Period empowerment T-shirt line, and co-authored a chapter in The Pink Sister Chronicles 3: It Takes a Village. In 2020, she launched Transparency Talk with Tashina, a social media talk show to discuss real-life issues to offer hope, education, and liberation.
Over the next few years, Dr. Reeder sees herself working as a full-time speaker and educator coaching women globally. She plans to expand the current curriculum of services and courses on offer at the moment while putting together more life-changing conferences, retreats, books, and collaborative anthologies.
