Alexis was born and raised in the small town of Huntsville, Ontario. Alexis Taylor was born to a very musical family. Both of her parents are songwriters who have instilled a passion for music within her at a very young age. Growing up, Alexis showed great love and passion for songwriting and playing the acoustic guitar. Music is an undeniable part of the rising artist since it has always been in her blood. After making her very first trip to Nashville, Tennessee, the budding artist decided to make the move to Music City.
From then on, Alexis Taylor has built a prominent music career with the help of NC1 and its ever-supportive CEO, Nick Caster. The talented young musician has high hopes for 2022 as she has released a brand new single entitled “Long Way From Home.” The song is an emotional retelling of her journey as a musician and all the obstacles she had to face to get to where she is today.
“When I was writing ‘Long Way From Home,’ I was having one of those days where I felt like throwing in the towel on my music career and just giving up. But how do you give up on something you feel like you were called to do? I wanted to really capture that feeling in the lyrics and melody of the song. So I started writing and poured my heart out onto paper, and the song seemed to write itself,” shared Alexis Taylor.
“At the end of the day, I know music is what I was born to do, and even though I go through days of uncertainty, I was able to create this song as a reminder of how far I have come,” she added.
Alexis Taylor has expressed immense gratitude to everyone that has supported her over the years, especially her fans. Her next project is still in the process of having a finalized release date, but she teases fans that her next single will be a slow ballad entitled “Rock Bottom.”
“Rock Bottom” is a pop country song that she wrote during the COVID-19 global pandemic. The song is about the struggles of mental health issues and how to cope with them.
“I wrote ‘Rock Bottom’ during a really tough time when there were so many unknowns about the world, the future in music and everything in between. So the fact that something so beautiful came out of such hardship is pretty amazing to me, and I couldn’t be more proud of the song,” shared the talented musician.
Apart from her songwriter prowess, the thriving musician finds time to do all the things she is passionate about, such as spinning records and giving back to the community. Alexis Taylor is currently spinning on Country Radio and XM Radio all across Canada. She also participates in international mission work with children.
In the near future, Alexis Taylor envisions herself performing at large venues and selling out crowds all over the world. She also hopes to continue doing more mission work whenever she is called to do it.
