BP Ventures Wins Stellar Foundation Prize

Sheridan, WY – July 11th, 2022 – BP Ventures, a US consulting & software service solutions firm that helps FinTechs leverage blockchain payments by using USDC as a settlement mechanism was selected out of 47 finalists to win a $125,000 grant award from the Stellar Community Fund.

USDC, a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Boston based corporation Circle Financial, is gaining traction in the payment and remittance industry. In October 2021, Circle and Moneygram jointly announced a partnership to provide free services to USDC users.

Customers can now use their USDC wallets for transfers which can be paid out in the local currency of the destination country. This service is available at Moneygram locations in a number of major remittance markets, including Canada, the United States, the Philippines, and Kenya. Moneygram customers can also convert cash into USDC, free of charge.

In light of growing USDC adoption, BP Ventures has built a one click solution allowing Fintechs to both leverage free transfers from USDC as well as a DeFI solution enabling payment companies to get started quickly on Stellar blockchain.
