Dr. Yan Katnelson has made it his mission to educate women especially minorities on fibroids and the many options they have.
Award-winning Dr. Yan Katsnelson, MD, a renowned Cardiothoracic Surgery specialist, is known for being passionate about fibroids and owning several vein clinics throughout the world. Dr. Yan is a philanthropist, entrepreneur, highly skilled cardiac surgeon, and business owner. He also founded the Chicago Heart Institute, which was dedicated to the advanced treatments of cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Katsnelson completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical Center’s Brigham and then performed cardiothoracic and vascular surgery at Boston Medical Center and the University of Chicago. Dr.
Katsnelson is credited as the first U.S. surgeon to perform the Biocor stented tissue valve’s first double implant.
He is the founder and CEO of USA Vein Clinics Group, which serves over 160 clinics nationwide and eight new cities coming soon! Outside of the vein clinics catering to just veins, they also provide other services line that include USA Vascular Center, USA Oncology Centers, USA Prostate Centers, and USA Hemorrhoid Centers.
Dr. Katsnelson has established himself as a strong advocate for accessibility, affordability,and compassion in the delivery of healthcare services. As the founder of the Fibroid Fighters Foundation, he pays out of pocket for all his events to help the movement and educate women on their health. The non-profit’s goal is to unite community, religious, and political leaders, to recognize the significant health disparities that impact women and provide insight from patients’ perspectives.
Dr. Katsnelson has created a platform and organization to advance the cause of women’s health and the safe and effective treatment of uterine fibroids, called UFE. It is a non-surgical approach to removing fibroids. Dr. Katnelson has over 40 USA Fibroid Centers with eight new locations coming soon!
