Summit Capital Partners | Jim Thorpe Hosts Toy Drive for Seattle Children's Hospital
Seattle business owner Jim Thorpe, hosted a toy drive to benefit the children of Seattle Children’s Hospital. The toy drive was held at Summit Capital Partner’s office in Laurelhurst and the goal was to collect toy donations for Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Jim Thorpe, owner of  Summit Capital Partners hosted a Holiday Toy Drive the week of December 12th to December 17th at their Laurelhurst Office in Seattle. They accepted new toy donations to benefit the patients and families of Seattle Children’s Hospital. With the goal of promoting community involvement, all individuals that donated were entered into a raffle for the chance to win (2) VIP Kraken Tickets in their private suite. The lucky winner of the raffle was announced on Saturday, December 17th.

“Our mission is to spread warmth and kindness throughout the Seattle community this Holiday season, we believe it is essential to continually give back to those in need,” said Summit Capital Partners founder Jim Thorpe. “We kindly ask our neighbors to join us and remember the patients and families in need of extra Christmas hope this year.” Thorpe was at the event to assist with the collection process and hand out raffle tickets.

The Summit Capital Partners Holiday Toy Drive was a huge success. Their Saturday Hot Cocoa Bar and Santa Pictures portion of the event allowed members of the community to come together to do something special. Not only did they exceed their goal of collecting over 40 gifts for the children of Seattle, but Thorpe also went above and beyond by completing amazon wishlist items with purchases made through Amazon Smile. By doing so, an additional 0.5% of his shopping was able to go towards uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. All proceeds of the event will go towards the Child Life Fund at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Jim Thorpe’s Previous Philanthropic Efforts

Thorpe’s previous efforts to make an impact in the Seattle community are demonstrated in his past philanthropic involvement. In October, Thorpe hosted the 8th Laurelhurst Haunted House. In lieu of an entry fee, attendees were asked to donate $1.00 or a non-perishable good to benefit Northwest Harvest. Not only did the event promote community unity, but it also provided the opportunity to give back. In total, the Laurelhurst Haunted House collected $10,000 and 5 tons of food throughout the three-day production.
