Doha, Qatar – The latest round of International Awards issued by Harvard Business Council (NY, USA) culminated with 60 winners on November 10, 2022. This round has also been studded with countless brilliant individuals and organizations that each year add value to an event aimed at raising business standards while striving for excellence.
Among the outstanding organizations present on this occasion was the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), the institution responsible for the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset management of all infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar.
It has achieved the Diamond level for the Green Award as environmental objectives have been effectively included and implemented in its corporate strategy. Specifically, its first objective is to ensure on-time delivery without compromising on the quality of deliverables and improve the on-time delivery performance across the complete asset lifecycle. The second objective is to enhance sustainability, recycling, and its supply chain’s resilience and environmental credentials through increased use of recycled materials. Finally, the third objective is to embed leading practices across Ashghal by obtaining and maintaining internationally recognized certifications. In doing so, the environmental aspects of the business as prioritized and monitored.
Harvard Business Council recognizes the importance of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) ‘s work and wants to show all its support to the organization through the Award assigned to it. Furthermore, HBC would like to remind all the rest of the candidates and those who follow this 2022 International Awards cycle that the efforts of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) must be an example and guide to everyone.
