Price Attractions Has Signed Concert Pianist, Junwen Liang

Dr. Junwen Liang, originally from Nanning, China, is celebrated for his “captivating performances”, as described by Stroll Magazine, and has been lauded as “an extremely gifted and promising young artist” by New York Concert Review. He has graced prestigious recital series across the United States, including performances at renowned venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Academy of Music at Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, Cohen Family Studio Theater, Robert J. Werner Recital Hall in Cincinnati, Indian Wells Theater in Palm Desert, Everson Museum Auditorium in Syracuse, and DiMenna Center for Classical Music.

Dr. Liang’s accolades include prizes from prestigious competitions such as the New York International Piano Competition, Naftzger Young Artist Competition, Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, and Juliusz Zarębski International Music Competition in Poland. He has also secured first prizes in competitions including the Crescendo International Music Competition, Nouvelles Étoiles International Music Competition in France, The Princeton Festival International Piano Competition, YMIC International Music Competition, Philadelphia International Piano Competition, and The American Prize. In Spring 2019, Dr. Liang was honored with the prestigious Spencer Merit Award at the National Society of Arts & Letters in Bloomington, an accolade bestowed upon only one pianist that year, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the world of classical music.

Liang is currently pursuing a performance diploma at the Peabody Institute under the mentorship of Richard Goode, one of the renowned concert pianists in the world.
