Imagine A World Full of Wonder by Leigha Huggins & Heather Lean is a masterful children’s picture book illustrated by 27 artists from different backgrounds around the world. A true testament to the power of art and creativity, the stunning illustrations use different mediums of art and lyrical text to celebrate unique creative expression and serve as a reminder of what makes this world beautiful.
Imagine a World Full of Wonder; an innovative tour de force is akin to a World Art Gallery in a children’s book. The book was named a Winner in the Book Interior Design category of the 2022 Book Excellence Awards. Dedicated to recognizing excellence in writing, design, and overall market appeal, previous Winners and Finalists have been New York Times best-sellers, spoken at TEDx, and had their books optioned by movie studios.
“We couldn’t be any more delighted and grateful to be noticed in this beautiful world full of wonderful books. What an honor,” said Leigha Huggins and Heather Lean. Multi-talented artists and authors, Huggins and Lean started the book as a passion project, before transforming it into a project of togetherness, creativity, and self-expression. “Our main aim was to connect people in a very disconnected world. With intentions to motivate and inspire through art and heartfelt lyrical affirmations… we hope that this will encourage not only creativity but possibilities too.”
The premise of the book is simple: ONE WORLD, Endless IMAGINATION. In creating the book, the authors flipped the traditional publishing process on its head by having the illustrations inspire the words. The result was a beautiful, imaginative, and magical work of art on each page, worthy of a story of its own. By creating the book this way, the authors demonstrated a powerful lesson itself. Every child has the power to envision and imagine what their world looks like. Each page invites readers to dive into untold worlds and water their minds with inspirational takeaways that celebrate the beauty in everyday life.
Readers, parents, educators, and caregivers are encouraged to join the revolution of imagination, diversity, and kindness by pre-ordering the book on Kickstarter. Along with exclusive Kickstarter only bonuses, you’ll also receive one of the first-ever copies of the book to be released:
About the Authors
Leigha Huggins surprised herself nearly a decade ago when a thoughtful gift became a passion for writing and creating. Inspired by the unique love between mother and child, her goal is to develop intentional stories filled with pure messages of wishes, welcomes, and wonder. Leigha states, “I believe in love, I believe in happiness, and I believe these things can be contagious, and the world needs more reminders of the simple joys and love that surround us. It doesn’t have to be big, life-changing, dramatic, or earth-shattering. It has to be an appreciated moment, and I believe my stories will create appreciated moments to be cherished for a lifetime to come.”
Heather Lean, is a lawyer by day, self-proclaimed “creative by night,” and mother of two, Heather’s hands are pretty full these days, but her heart is undoubtedly fuller. Heather’s author journey began in 2019 after losing her mother, but the desire to write was brewing for many decades prior to 2019. The loss of her mother and mother-in-law in such a short duration catapulted her into her writing and healing journey. After writing her first book, Angel Grandma (2020), she found herself writing several others, and it was the spark that ignited her passion for writing children’s books.
On taking inspired action, Heather’s motto is: “Do it now, don’t wait to take that leap of faith, your passion and burning desire and ideas- they’re an absolute gift from the universe and how do you say no to that?”
