New York City, New York – March 12, 2024 – Wassim “Wess” Fakhoury is the editor in chief and the creative and artistic director of “See The ACT” magazine and “See The ACT creative studios”. Born in 1991 in a small Christian town called Marjeyoun in the south of Lebanon, Wassim showed immense interest in art and fashion from a young age, nourished by his mother and her cousins and friends who asked for Wassim’s consultancy when he was just six years old.

In 2019, Wassim became the Editor in Chief and Creative director of See The ACT Magazine and Production house. ACT, in principle, was created as a platform for self-expression, with one sole aim: to showcase talented people and support other artists: photographers, singers, painters. Ever since creating ACT magazine, Wassim has been able to bring to life his imagination and vision always keeping in mind the narrative and the artistic approach to any subject.

Art is at the center of his lifestyle and the way he perceives stories and individuals. Wassim has now a new appreciation of his life experience allowing him to live outside conventional rules of self-expression, especially after he visited New York city in 2022 and was able to achieve a new “sense of self” as he calls it. A new way of being an artist among other artists to whom he can belong and breathe. A bird living outside its cage for the very first time.

During a recent interview, he made these comments, “Art must tell a story. Art comes from a place of need of self-expression as it’s hard to be silent when the world is ever evolving. The need for expression cannot be tamed, and since art shouldn’t be limited, neither should ACT: Art, Culture and Talent – a platform of true expression.”

About See The ACT Magazine Issue 8:

See The ACT Creative Studios present The Eighth Issue of SEE THE ACT Magazine, published under the title  DEMONS PLAY – Chapter TWO : VOID

Technology, the city, connection, online, offline. The abundance and the lack of communication. Chaos, order! One million encounters, still alone. Loneliness.

Fruitful, imagination, sterile, environment. Rituals, cult, prayers and spells. Drive you crazy.

The individuals exist in an alternative place, a mental institution! Or a deserted house? The city offers everything, you can choose where you want to be.

The dark side of it all is the search for individuality while simultaneously belonging to a group, to a cult, a sea of people that share the same interest.

The story starts with the woman, in a small town, dreaming of a bigger life, leaves her village on a ferry to reach the city, where she gets lost trying to figure it all out. Captured on film.
